A Radical New Paradigm
by Juliet Nightingale
Every month, I facilitate a near-death discussion/support group as the FOI (Friends of the International Association for Near-Death Studies) Nashville. On Monday, 11 April 2005, we had a wonderful meeting at the Factory at Franklin, and our very special guest was Yvonne Perry, who presented her new book, More Than Meets the Eye ~ True Stories about Death, Dying & Afterlife! For those who don’t already know, Yvonne has recently published this magnificent new book and it couldn’t have come at a more significant moment. To say the very least, it has come at such an auspicious time—especially in light of all the media sensationalism centred on the late Terri Schiavo, who had been in a vegetative state for fifteen years! Something that I have come to realise recently is how much I’ve used my psychic ability in all aspects of my work in music. Perhaps part of the reason I’m required to rely on my psychic ability in music so much is due, in part, to my being so visually impaired.Whether on stage or in the studio, there is much eye contact and body language between singers and musicians in order to alert and cue one another for certain passages, etc. I need to put my psychic acuity on max so that I can know just what needs to be done at any given moment; and it never seems to fail me either. The Grand Fixed Cross—having taken place on 11 August, 1999—is a catalyst for great changes in our world and one area that will be strongly influenced from now on is relationships and the institution of marriage. This is a topic of greatest concern for most of my clients. Relationships are taking on a whole new dynamic—a whole new meaning where, as spiritual beings, we are striving for deeper, more meaningful relationships based on spiritual substance rather than on material status, etc. Read More...
Creativity from the Light —Transformation & Renewal
by Rev. Juliet Nightingale
Imagine the awe and wonder of a child in anticipation of Christmas—knowing that miracles and magic are about to take place. This would best describe the emotions and excitement I felt in anticipation of the upcoming annual IANDS conference, 'Creativity from the Light’. When I first realised that the theme of the conference was centred in the arts—painting and drawing, music, film and writing that have emerged from the lives of near-death experiencers—I knew that this was going to be something I could not miss.In light of the fact that my whole life has revolved around everything within that theme—my background being in music, art, writing and media—and the fact that I’d also recently become a committee chair for IANDS, I felt myself being called … and I was ready. Something so auspicious was unfolding and I was having the experience of a ‘red carpet’ welcome! Read more...
FEARING FOR A LIFETIME ...
... WHAT DOESN'T EXIST ... by David Icke
The greatest fear that most people have is fear of the unknown and the most fundamental 'unknown' is 'death'. How sad it is that lives are blighted by fear of something that doesn't exist. As the Chinese philosopher, Chang Tzu, put it:
The birth of a man is the birth of his sorrow. The longer he lives, the more stupid he becomes, because his anxiety to avoid unavoidable death becomes more and more acute. What bitterness! He lives for what is always out of reach! His thirst for survival in the future makes him incapable of living in the present. Read more...
When we were in Chicago at our IANDS (International Association for Near-Death Studies) annual conference in June 2004, I was speaking with PMH Atwater—a noted author, researcher and speaker on the near-death phenomenon—who told me that it was God’s will for me to be back in Nashville—that I had very special work to do centred on the near-death experience (NDE) that would reach people far and wide. A book to help people prepare for a peaceful and fearless transition into the Afterlife.
by Yvonne Perry
There are many commonly held views regarding death and the existence of an afterlife. Some Westernized Americans view death as a fearful tragedy, the end of a life, a sad finality. Most view it as a separation between the physical and non-physical realms. In contrast, the Ancients grieved when a baby was born and rejoiced when someone died. Regardless of our religion or culture, most of us are curious about where we came from, and what our existence after death might hold. Read more...
Only recently someone showed me the "Sceptic" article* by Michael Shermer. From a well respected and, in my opinion, scientific journal like the Scientific American I always expect a well documented and scientific article, and I don't know how thoroughly peer-reviewed the article from Shermer was by the editorial staff before publication. My reaction to this article by Shermer is because I am the main author of the study published in The Lancet, December 2001, entitled: Near-Death Experience in Survivors of Cardiac Arrest; A Prospective Study in the Netherlands. About what he writes about the conclusions from our study, as well as from the effect of magnetic and electrical "stimulation" of the brain, forces me to write this paper, because I disagree with his theories as well as with his conclusions. Psychic hotlines, (those 900 #’s you see advertised on TV and in magazines and newspapers), have been a controversy since their inception … with people questioning if they’re a hoax … or if they use real psychics, etc. And then there’s the question of whether or not the psychic is really there to help provide answers … or just keep someone on the line in order to make more money … and so on.
Everyone who has considered investigating or ringing a psychic hotline has got a right to know the truth about these networks and, herein, I hope to provide clarity about how they operate, so that you may make your own decisions whether or not to use them in future. Read more...
The Dying Process ~ From an Experiencers Perspective by Rev. Juliet Nightingale
Recently, I read a pamphlet that is passed out to staff workers at a hospice facility on the dying experience. The pamphlet was written by a nurse—strictly from the perspective of an observer and one who’s in the healthcare profession. This is fine, because people in the healthcare industry do need guidelines for dealing with end-of-life procedures. However, they can only be hypothetical at best in many areas, simply because the author has not actually been there—lying on a deathbed and dealing first hand with the process of dying! At least, this particular author gave no indication that she’s ever been on a deathbed herself or that she’s had a near-death experience (NDE). Read more...
Trusting Your Own Intuition by Rev. Juliet Nightingale
As we’ve entered the new millennium, the subject of spiritual awakening is being discussed and seriously thought about now. Many of us are probing on a deep level—through reading, meditation, prayer, etc.—in order to decipher just what all this means for us on a personal level as well as in the global community. All life on this planet is changing and we are becoming more spiritual, more aware and more attuned to our souls and the destiny we came to fulfil in this incarnation. This is a very significant step in the process of our evolution and, indeed, we are looking at big changes to come. Read more...
There is a step-up of energy at the moment of death, an increase in speed as if you are suddenly vibrating faster than before. Using radio as an analogy, this speed-up is comparable to having lived all your life at a certain radio frequency when all of a sudden someone or something comes along and flips the dial. That flip shifts you to another, higher wavelength. The original frequency where you once existed is still there. It did not change. Everything is still just the same as it was. Only you changed, only you speeded up to allow entry into the next radio frequency on the dial. Read more...
