What happens to us when we die? This is a compelling question that plagues everyone throughout ones life. Toward The Light is an organisation founded by Rev. Juliet
Nightingale—a mystic and Seer from England—who has been through a
number of near-death experiences, (NDEs), as a result of
life-threatening illnesses since childhood. She's also had many
out-of-body experiences (OBEs) and spiritually transformative
experiences (STEs)—all of which have had a profound and lasting effect
on her life. Initially, however, she rarely spoke of them as a result
of being grossly judged and misunderstood. In 1997 she joined the
International Association for Near-Death Studies, (IANDS), and has,
since, been able to share her experiences first hand, and has generated
great interest and deepening awareness of the profundity of the NDE,
OBE & STE in recent years.
Nightingale has been on two IANDS committees—Membership Chair and Friends Of IANDS (FOI) International Relations Committee. She's also facilitated FOI NDE discussion/support groups in Nashville, Tennessee and different areas in New England—now holding 'virtual' and local meetings as Light On The Water (LOTW)—and being committed to generating a community of support for experiencers. She is passionate about her work in offering resources and support for NDErs and others who've had similar experiences ... where they'll find an abundance of resources, encouragement and amity with kindred spirits.
As a result of her deep convictions concerning near-death and similar experiences, Nightingale is very committed to helping to bring peace of mind to the masses via her organisation and weekly live radio programme. She is the host of the ground-breaking radio show, Toward The Light, that broadcasts live every Sunday evening at 5P ET/10P UK on BBSRadio.com. The show is centred on the nature of consciousness and life continuum as revealed through near-death/out-of-body and other spiritually transformative experiences and related topics. She features a stellar roster of special guests who are both experiencers and researchers in the realm of NDEs and more.
In recent years, Nightingale has availed herself to the media for the purpose of furthering study and research on these topics. She's appeared on various radio programmes, TV, and in newspaper and magazine articles worldwide, as she discusses her experiences and knowledge of near-death/out-of-body experiences and the immortality of the soul. She has also written articles and given talks on these subjects—pointing out that '...We never really die; we simply shift from one realm to another—remaining totally conscious and alive, but in a different form. We never cease to be ... and it is the destiny of every soul to return to the Light.'
Nightingale wants to help rid all fear of death and to also help people learn how to pierce the veil—that seems to separate us from those on the Other Side—and to show them that they can communicate directly with those they love and care about ... who have crossed over. She is equally gifted working with animals and as a medium connecting with those who have crossed over. As a medium, she has helped many individuals connect with loved ones, friends and even pets who have crossed over ... as well as having after-death communications (ADCs) with her own loved ones.

If someone has had a near-death experience (NDE), one will benefit by knowing that the International Association for Near-Death Studies (IANDS) is a non-profit organisation that serves as a clearinghouse to impart information about near-death experiences and their implications, encourage and support research on the experience and related phenomena, and aid in the formation of local support and interest groups—generally referred to as the Friends of IANDS (FOI)—to explore the subject. Among their many publications are the scholarly Journal of Near-Death Studies, and a general-interest newsletter, Vital Signs. Membership is open to anyone. Personal near-death experiences are solicited on an ongoing basis for the archives. (from PMH Atwater)
People are welcome and encouraged in forming and establishing local discussion/support groups centred on near-death (or what I prefer to call an Eternal Life Experience, ELE) and similar spiritually transformative experiences. One must be a member of IANDS in order to start a Friends of IANDS (FOI) group, but anyone can start other discussion/support groups centred on NDEs without being a member of IANDS. Guidelines for creating such a group (within the IANDS organisation) are available on the IANDS website, under ‘Support Groups’ (starting a group).
I am very pleased to assist you with starting a support group (either within or independent of IANDS) and with any further questions, and also provide more materials and support as needed.
My main focus is to provide a platform through which NDErs and other interested individuals world-wide can congregate together and communicate openly and freely on a topic that changes and transforms our lives forever.
