A number of individuals, including myself, have had visions and ideas of starting a community and ongoing retreat for those who've had an NDE or similar spiritually transformative experience and other kindred spirits.
We need community! Does that sound familiar? Have you also been singing that song?
I
believe that we've come to a place where living lives of insolence and
alienation isn't serving us as individuals or as a global community and
that we need to start integrating and generating community. I'm not
referring to a 'commune' or 'cult' type of setting where there's a
'leader' that everyone 'follows'. Nor should we be expected to 'give
up everything' and live a life of poverty! Rather, there's a need for
joining forces with like-minded individuals and all of us having the
capacity to share with one another, yet still maintaining our
independence. Being more aware of others and all the special gifts
that everyone possesses and has got to offer — generating a sense of family —
to mutually be of service and support to one another is the key. The
ideal is to have our own unique space, yet also live in harmony and
work in concert with others.
Wouldn't it be nice to have our
individual space, but also know that someone's close by that we can
turn to as needed and also be available to be of support to others as
well? To build a community that's centred in love, respect and service
to others — yet still maintain our own individuality and purpose is a powerful alternative whose time has come.
I'm reaching out to individuals who may have the funds, property, buildings or other resources — individuals who share in this tremendous vision — who are willing to help make this powerful dream a reality.
As for me, I'm adept at pioneering new projects and endeavours and work well in a team. I've got a lot that I can 'bring to the table' as well. I am very adept in the office,
bookings, administrative, management, media and advertising, design,
building and maintaining websites, etc., and I make the best pot of
tea! I have got excellent communications, interpersonal, organisational
and motivational skills. I am a
counsellor/minister, coach, spiritual advisor, Reiki practitioner,
facilitator of discussion/support groups centred on near-death
experiences (NDEs), speaker, and radio show host. I'm also a writer,
artist, and musician and really enjoy being creative. I have also got a
background in both print and broadcast media.
Other
skills & services: Music (composer, singer, keys); media background
(print & broadcast), journalist, proof-reader, editor, designer,
website designer, voice-over, artist, radio show host, etc. Excellent
oral and written skills, friendly with attention to detail,
accommodating and considerate.
