TOWARD THE LIGHT ~ Sunday, 11 November 2007 & 2 March 2008 ~
Neil Hague is a UK visionary artist, authorial illustrator, speaker and writer. Originally trained in graphics and book publishing, he was one of the founders of Bridge of Love Publications. His work has been described as 'neo-shamanic' by people who have heard him talk or who have seen his art.
He has had numerous exhibitions of his visionary work in London and his paintings have appeared on book covers all over the world. Inspired by native cultures, 'universal' symbols, archetypes and a love of nature, Neil often links and utilises these sources in his own work. In his 2002 book Through Ancient Eyes (Quester Publications), he illustrates a personal and fascinating approach to art and image making.
Visionary artist and author Neil Hague will explore the 'illusions' that limit our true potential. His presentation focuses on ancient myths that encapsulate stories of interdimensional forces, hidden worlds, extraterrestrial aspects, DNA and the sacred places – as understood by some of Earth’s greatest visionaries.
All religion, 'inspired art movements' and most of the movie-blockbusters we flock to today are teaming with archetypal symbols, legendary stories of good against evil and imagery associated with 'other worlds'. From the legends of the Dreamtime to the concept of the Matrix, his presentation takes us on a journey to the heart and into the timeless realms of the imagination.
It was a real pleasure talking as always... Time just melted away. It was the best interview I've done, me thinks. Neil Hague (Oxfordshire, UK)
(Neil was so kind to offer to swap with David Icke for this show, since DI was ill. Thank you so much, Neil. You're a wonderful spirit!)
